Empty Bowl Event Success
Loretto High FCCLA sponsored an Empty Bowl Event on February 2. The event consisted of a variety of delicious homemade soups, breads, desserts, and drinks.
A silent auction for pottery bowls made by the art department and a local potter, Mona Peterson was conducted. The art contest projects by the area elementary schools were also on display.
The Empty Bowl Event was a success with FCCLA receiving over $1000 in donations. FCCLA will present checks to Loretto High School’s Food Bank, the John Albright South Lawrence Food Bank, and No Kid Hungry.
Congratulations to the winners of the first grade coloring contest and the fifth poster contest. The first grade winners were: 1st place Patton Simbeck 2nd place Isabell Jackson, and 3rd place Anna Wiggins.
